The FreeStyle Libre 3 system is a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) consisting of a disposable sensor worn on the back of the upper arm for up to 14 days and a reader8 or the FreeStyle Libre 3 app.7

Most commercially insured patients will pay between $0 to $75 per month for FreeStyle Libre 3 sensors.6,14,15

The FreeStyle Libre 3 system is covered by Medicare for patients managing diabetes with insulin.15,16

How the Freestyle Libre 3 system works

  1. Apply the sensor to the back of your arm with a simple 1-piece applicator.
  2. Start the sensor with your reader8 or your smartphone:7 The FreeStyle Libre 3 app is available for free from the App Store and Google Play.
  3. Glucose readings stream directly to your smartphone7 or to your reader,8 and can be viewed with a quick glance.17

  1. Eligible patients will receive one (1) FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor for users with a compatible mobile phone operating system at $0 copay. The expiration date of the voucher is 60 days from the issue date. This program is available for patients with Type 1, Type 2, or gestational diabetes. Patients ages 18 and older are eligible to sign up and receive an offer for the (1) FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor. Patients ages 4-17 are eligible to receive an offer for the (1) FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor through their parent or guardian. This offer is void where prohibited by law. Abbott may modify or rescind this offer at any time without notice. The discounts are not available to beneficiaries of Kaiser Permanente, Medicare, Medicaid or other federal or state healthcare programs, residents of Massachusetts, or US territories (other than Puerto Rico).
