Just call the number on the back of your card.
- What is an OTC benefit card?
An OTC benefit card is funded by select health plans and primarily awarded to plan members participating in an associated Medicare Advantage (Part D) program.
A physical OTC benefit card is provided annually to eligible members, along with a predetermined amount put onto the card that is only to be used for eligible OTC items.
Depending on the health plan, funds are loaded or reloaded to the card on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. OTC funds not used during the allotment period are lost and do not roll over to the next period, unless the health plan specifically allows for a rollover period.
This program enables Walgreens customers to purchase OTC card eligible items using their OTC benefit card. OTC card eligible items often include health and wellness products, such as cough and cold remedies, vitamins, medical equipment and more. If an item is eligible, the cost of the item is subtracted from an OTC card’s available balance at checkout.
